Advanced Open Water Diver Couse
Welcome to the next level. Here you will increase your skills by performing different dive styles. You can choose between a wide range of specialties, but also, we prepare a few combinations that will help you to have fun and dive safely anywhere. You need to perform 5 different adventure dives to became a advanced open water diver.
Course details and requirements
From 12 year old (Parents or guardian signatures and presence is required). Junior Open Water certification or equivalent is required. From 15yo Open Water Certification or equivalent is required.
The Junior Advanced Open Water Certification (12 to 14yo) maximum depth is 21m. From 15yo the maximum depth is 30m and the certification can be upgraded to Advanced Open Water Diver. The certification is international and life-time but we recommend a refresh course or Re-activate course if you are more than 6 moth without perform any dives.

Adventure dives available according to the sea condition
Aiming to develop the best skills as possible we limit to a number of 4 students per instructor.
All the skills must be performed demonstrating confidence, comfort and coordination

WHAT TO BRING?
Towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, windshield jacket, water and some snacks are the basic kit for all divers. Make sure you have all you might need, the sun during the summer in Okinawa could be very challenging so we recommend to bring a rash guard with UV protection and a cap.
MEETING POINT & TIME
On the very first day we will meet at the shop at 8 am. Please make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of time so we can have a chat and fill the necessary forms before you training get started. All the other days will be informed in the afternoon according to the weather condition, tides and locations.

Our goal is to train independent divers!
After certification, you’ll gain the skills to safely do buddy dives without an instructor (buddy diving is possible once you have an OW license).
Okinawa’s main island offers plenty of beach diving spots, making it a great place to enjoy buddy diving.
Let’s master the necessary skills through each adventure dive!
▶ Peak Performance Buoyancy
Practice staying completely still underwater, floating at the same depth. You’ll also learn how to swim backward and do 360° turns—all while having fun with some games!
▶ Deep Diving
Calculate your air consumption rate per minute and create a safe dive plan for depths up to 30 meters. Successfully executing the dive according to the plan will be the key goal!
▶ Underwater Navigation
Count your kick cycles to swim 30 meters, and practice straight-line and square navigation using a compass. We’ll make sure you’re comfortable with the compass on land before heading into the water!
After the completion of the course you will be able to:
Dive with a buddy within 30m depth;
Perform dives with more comfort and confidence;
Join to more advanced and challenging dive sites;
Make new dive buddies and friends;
Join to Rescue Diver Course or Specialty Course;
