PADI REC SIDEMOUNT DIVER

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Unlike the common style of carrying cylinders on the back, the method of placing cylinders on the side of the body is collectively called “side-mounting”.

In this course, you will learn how to attach a regulator to each of the two independent cylinders and balance them on a special harness and BCD or regular BCD, how to enter and exit the water, how to maintain a good underwater posture (trim), and other basic diving skills. The advantage of the sidemount is that it provides better balance.

The advantages of sidemounting include better balance, more compact equipment, less stress on the hips and back, and increased dive time when using enriched air and other equipment. We encourage you to try this new course.
